New England PGA Titleist Junior Tour & GolfRite Learning Center Join Forces to Offer Junior Golfers Additional Playing & Learning Opportunities
For Immediate Release
West Boylston, MA- February 19, 2007-
The New England Section of the PGA of America announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Golfrite Learning Center of Hudson, MA, to develop golf instructional and
fitness programs for members of the New England PGA Titleist Junior Tour.
Under this agreement, GolfRite will offer an initial, no-cost video swing analysis & physical assessment to each NEPGATJT member. Upon assessment review, GolfRite's staff will customize an instructional & physical fitness program, tailored to each junior member's particular needs.
Steve Arsenault, Junior Director... "It has always been our Tour's objective to provide our junior members with a better golfing experience.
In addition to our tournament schedule, we can now help our juniors take their golf games to the next level...all in one, centralized location. This adds an exciting new component to our Tour's growth."
Steve continued..."Last year, we witnessed one of our junior members escalate from scoring in the mid to upper 80's the year before, to winning 4 times and finishing 2nd in the Junior Player-of-the-Year points race...by far our most improved player! We learned that his remarkable advancement was under the tutelage of Skip Guss, a section member...former PGA TOUR member...and owner of the GolfRite Learning Center, and his staff. Discussions to bring this winning formula to the entire Tour soon followed, leading to today's announcement."
Nathan Robbins, NEPGA Executive Director..."Skip & his staff bring a wealth of instructional knowledge & golf experience to the table, and the New England Section is delighted to be working with GolfRite to help all of our junior members play better golf & have more fun!"
Skip Guss, PGA Professional and GolfRite's owner, commented..."The key ingredients to golfing success are: 1) developing the proper long game & short game fundaments; 2) being physically fit: 3) mental preparation: and 4) good life skills. GolfRite's professional staff...PGA instructors, fitness specialist, sports psychologist and nutritionist...will help each & every junior golfer reach both their golfing & personal goals. We look forward to working with all junior golfers in helping them improve."
